The Captain and the Match Committee control competitions and there are organised competitions for all classes of membership. Saturday is the main men's competition when 7 Day Members may play in the morning or afternoon.
On Thursdays a second men's competition, known as 'Scroungers', is open to all 7 Day and 6 Day Members and also to visitors from other clubs at special rates.
Sunday afternoon is normally reserved for a mixed or medley competition of a slightly social nature and open to all 7 Day and 6 Day Members.
A nine-hole competition, played at any time during Fridays and is known as the 'Dawn to Dusk', is coupled with a grand Jackpot draw in the clubhouse afterwards.
The ladies have their main competition day on Wednesdays and a further 9-hole competition on Monday mornings.
You are entitled to use the course at any time except when competitions are in progress but all players must report to the Pro-Shop before starting any game, so that they may learn of any special condition which exists at that time. You are welcome to bring guests and, provided they play with you, a special green fee has been arranged at a reduced rate for them.
For all - Club competitions the Match Committee provide a 'booking sheet' in the members section of the Club website. For Saturday competitions the booking sheet will open 15 days prior to the competition at 4:00 pm. Booking sheets will close for all competitions at 5:00 am on the day of the competition.
Handicaps
Before you can play in any Club competition you must establish your Club handicap. To obtain this you must submit THREE completed, 18 hole score cards signed by an approved member. The completed cards are to be passed to the Match Committee who will then assess and award your handicap which will appear on the computer screen in the clubhouse foyer.
Visitors
Your guests are very welcome on the course and in the clubhouse at most times but remember that you are responsible for your guest's standard of dress and behaviour both on the course and on the clubhouse. You must also ensure that their correct green fee has been paid prior to their playing on the course.
