Please be advised that from February 2021 the Rockingham Golf Club will be trialling a new golf system out on the course called Verifeye from On Pin.
The Verifeye system will help the golf club to collect and analyse data on:
- Live Pace of Play
- Unauthorised players
- Course utilisation
- Hired Club Cart usage
- OHS – Members out on the course.
The initial Trial will focus on Pace of Play. For this trial to be successful we need all members to collect their new membership Bag tag from the administration office. The system works by identifying the member, membership category. It will log a time when passed by the first reader station and log a time when passing the second station and so on. The algorithm works out pace of play mathematically and is shown in real time on a portal which the club will have access to on its computer, to assist with course management.
As the Rockingham Golf Club has recently reviewed its evacuation procedure out on the course in the event of a brush fire the Bag tags will let the Office/ProShop know where players are, and this will assist with evacuation of the course.
As the Trial progresses we will implement a visitors tag for the Green fee player.
The purpose of the trial is to gain information on current competition times played, slow play offenders, Gain information on hired cart usage, member’s golf participation. The data will give the RGC a better understanding on the actual use of the Golf course.
